I'm Kavya and I'm a software engineer specializing in frontend development.
Currently, I work on network advertising at OfferUp as a frontend engineer. I develop mobile and web client applications using TypeScript, React Native, React,GraphQL, and JavaScript. I am passionate about building functional and user friendly mobile and web apps!

After graduating from UCSD with a degree in Chemical Engineering, I worked for a few years in the biotech industry. I became interested in software engineering and the user experience the more I worked with software engineers. I loved the challenging material and using my problem solving skills. I decided to make a career change and the rest is history!
I completed a coding bootcamp (App Academy) and started working at Lyell Immunopharma, this time as a frontend software developer. A few years later, I am at my current role at OfferUp, connecting local buyers and sellers to contribute to encouraging a sustainable lifestyle!
Outside of coding, I love to practice yoga, go to the gym, sing karaoke, binge watch TV shows, and am a novice photographer.
